FAQs

Many couples don't know quite where to start with Vermont wedding flowers, and that's OK! That's why we're here. To get you excited and inspired when thinking about your wedding floral design.

We’ve gathered answers to the most common questions couples ask when working with a us—from the design process and seasonal blooms to investment and logistics.

We want every wedding we design for to be thoughtfully tailored to reflect your story, your style, and the natural beauty of Vermont. If you don’t see your question here, we’re always happy to continue the conversation and guide you through what’s possible.

We've also creating a Vermont wedding florist pricing resource, so you can see what a typical order would be by budget range.

Do you have a minimum order requirement?

Yes, we do. We have a full-service design option which starts at $6,000. We also offer an a-la-carte style option, called 'curated florals' which starts at $3000, not inclusive of tax, delivery and labor. We have minimums as a Vermont wedding florist so we can dedicate 110% focus to our booked couples.

However, if your event is outside of the normal wedding season (May-October), or not on a Saturday, we may be more flexible with our minimums.

Can you work around a specific budget?

Absolutely, and we actually prefer to know your budget in advance. This helps us properly set expectation of what you could expect within your budget. A range is better than giving us the top end of your budget. You can explore our Wedding floral services and set minimums for each type

Do you offer wholesale or bucket flowers if I want to DIY?

No, we don't. Although we grow many of our own flowers for events and work with local farms, we don't resell these to use as a DIY option.

We understand that couples may want to DIY some part of their wedding florals to fit within a budget. However, we ask that you respect the integrity of our designs and not DIY any flowers if we are contracted to be the floral designer for your event. This will be stated in our contract with you.

How far out should we book you? How do we book?

9-12 months in advance is a good guide, but all seasons are different so we may still have some open dates 6 months or less out. We generally say the sooner, the better!

You're officially booked with a 25% initial retainer and a signed contract. This usually involves us creating a custom proposal for you with example designs and an itemized list of what's include. You can always change designs or add to your proposal, but we ask that you not remove more than 10% of cost from the initial quoted proposal.

Is delivery, set up and breakdown included in my proposal?

Delivery & set up is included with almost all of our proposals. Pick up is rarely an option, as flowers need special care and consideration when transported. Please note, our curated, a-la-carte style florals do not include same or next-day take down - it's very important to communicate this to your venue. We will try to communicate this ahead of time, so that expectations are set properly. If requested, we can include a strike fee if your venue requires us to breakdown your designs the next day. This will be itemized as an extra charge on your proposal depending on travel and labor required to strike the design.

Do you provide rentals like arches, candles and other large pieces?

Yes! We have a catalog of rentals we're able to offer which includes, but is not limited to, arches, pillars, large urns for ceremonies, candles, hurricane glasses, etc. Please note these require a next day retrieval fee so are only available for our full-service design clients.

Do flowers have to be in season for the time of my wedding?

Not necessarily! Although we prefer to source our flowers from local farms and our own garden, there are tons of flowers that are available nearly year round. That's one of the benefits to hiring a floral designer! Our job is to have an idea of what kind of flowers you have available to you depending on the time of year it is.

What do I need to have so you can create a custom proposal for us?

This is the fun part! We need to know the basics to craft your custom proposal for Vermont wedding flowers. Budget, wedding party size, guest count, your venue. Aside from that, having some inspiration images is very helpful. Let us know what your favorite flowers are, what colors you want to see in your floral design and what describes the look - whimsical, romantic, modern, garden-inspired, minimal, lush. The adjectives are helpful! And most importantly, we want to know about you! Our proposals are custom-tailored to the couple, the season, the venue and ensuring we're honoring the beauty of all of those elements.

We can definitely help you develop this on an exploratory call too. Reach out to book one with us.

Do the flowers you work with come from Vermont?

A majority of them do, yes! When we have an active growing season in the state (May - October), we try to source as many flowers as we can from local flower growers and farms. We also commit every year to growing a variety of cut flowers at our studio, including peonies, dahlias, lisianthus, delphinium and many others depending on the season. However, there are some flowers that just don't grow well here in Vermont, so we may source flowers from trusted wholesalers as well.

If having Vermont-grown flowers is a priority for you, please let us know and we will guide you through what blooms are possible to have.

We also make arrangement for special occasions like Valentine's Day & Mother's day flowers for Vermont.
